Top-100 Photos: V-J Day in Times Square
1. I picked this image because when I looked at at this photo, it looked really familiar. I realized that it was in a scene in one of the Night at the Museum movies.
2. Photos can capture moments of pure joy. This photo by Alfred Eisenstaedt captured the joy on the New York streets after World War II ended. His beautiful image became known as the most famous picture in the 20th century.
3. In addition to the photo, there were some pictures from LIFE Newspaper from 1945 after the war ended. I couldn't really read them but there were some pictures. The pictures show how happy Americans were when World War II ended. They were all laughing, smiling, and celebrating.
