Sports Portfolios
Part 1
a. Alyssa Shukar
b. girl with an eating disorder
c. all taken from a distance, don't feel the emotion in them, all very similar
d. nice background and color in one picture, liked the legs of the opponent in another picture
e. this photographer captured some good moments but some photos seemed like they didn't really have a purpose to be in the portfolio.
a. Travis Haughton
b. a deaf boy
c. back of heads are off-putting, areas in focus makes things unclear, some pictures need captions for clarification
d. captured genuine moments, had several good pictures
e. this photographer had some very cool and interesting photos but some were quite random and looked out of place.

c. some pictures were boring, cut off the heads of some people, too many kids
d. good graphics, good attempts
e. personally, I liked this photographer a lot more than the judges did. there were a few photos I thought were good that they said were horrible.

c. some were repetitive, one needed a subject, some were too artificial
d. good lighting and color, unique moments
e. this photographer had some really good photos and some not so good ones. he's the only photographer so far that's had photos that the judges have had not critiqued at all. I really liked his sports pictures.

a. good composition, good angles, good subjects, good lighting
b. as strengths I saw that the photographer was very creative with his angles, composition, and focus. the only weakness I saw was that some parts of certain photos were blurry but I don't know if that was intentional.
3.
a. to decide the winner, the judges went through the some of the good portfolios and used process of elimination to decide which one was the best.
Part 2
1. one photo I agree with the judges on is the greyhound photo from video 4 because each photo is unique yet they all still tell the story.
2. one photo I disagree with the judges on is the sumo wrestler photo from video 3 because I just don't see the appeal in a photo of a naked mans butt and I think there were a lot of better photos.
